Broad Prize
In 2006, Boston won the distinguished Broad Prize for Urban Education as the best city school district in the nation.
Boston had been a finalist for the national prize every year since the Broad Foundation launched the program in 2002. As a result, the district earned $1 million in college scholarships to award to students graduating from Boston public high schools.
