Register for Schools

IMPORTANT NOTE: Updates to School Choice Information
* March 15, 2010: Notification of acceptance to an exam school for the 2010-2011 school year will be mailed to students' homes on Monday, March 15, 2010.
* March 1, 2010: The School Choice forms for families making Advanced Work Class (AWC) choices were delayed. Schools will be able to pick up the forms on March 3 for distribution to families shortly thereafter. Please contact your child's school if you do not receive the form by Monday, March 9.
* February 25, 2010: The proposal to restore citywide status to Young Achievers and Mission Hill K-8 Schools was not presented to the School Committee as has been previously planned. In light of the extreme financial challenges the district is facing, the Superintendent felt it would be premature to create additional city-wide options without knowing the full range of decisions that will need to be made that could impact student assignment. The schools will retain their current zone status. We apologize for the inconvenience and inconsistent messages that parents may have experienced because of this change.
* The Manning Elementary School in Jamaica Plain is adding an integrated K1 class beginning in SY 2010-2011. This program model places special needs and regular education students in the same classroom and offers a lower class size. Regular education students will transition to a regular education K2 class at the Manning the following year.
