Boston Public Schools will be accepting applications for all Principal and Headmaster positions in one cycle, which consists of four phases:
Candidates will benefit from applying as early as possible.
After completing the online application, candidates will receive an email containing a planning activity, short answer questions, and a request for evidence of success. Candidates will have 72 hours to submit these exercises and complete their application.
Phase II: Candidate Performance Days
Candidates who advance through Phase I will be invited to demonstrate their instructional, critical thinking, and communication skills through a series of tasks with members of the BPS leadership team.
Phase III: School-Based Interviews
Candidates who advance through Phase II will be invited to interview with school-based hiring teams as positions for which they are potential fits arise.
Phase IV: Superintendent Interviews
Candidates chosen by the school hiring teams as finalists for principal and headmaster positions will interview with the Superintendent and members of the BPS senior leadership team to determine best-fit and final hiring decision.
